Children's Ministry

"Children are a gift of the Lord." Psalm 127:3

Vision

Connecting children with Jesus and helping them develop relationships with other children is the vision of all of Cornerstone's children's ministries. Children from birth through sixth grade have small groups just for them on Sunday mornings. They have fun and learn about God with other children their age.

We believe that children of every age can learn the truths of God's Word. As children grow, we encourage them to not only learn, but also to memorize, God's Word.

We have many ministires for children at Cornerstone. We are excited about meeting your family and pray that we will have an opportunity to minister to your family through some of our children's ministries.

Sunday Morning Bible Study is available for children of all ages. Bible study begins at 9:30 a.m. Visit the Welcome Center on the main floor for class locations.

Nursery and Extended Session is available during worship services for children from newborn to kindergarten. Of course, you are always welcome to keep your child with you in the worship service. We screen all children's workers.

Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is a Bible-centered church-based, Southern Baptist mission education organization for boys in grades 1-6. An RA is committed to living out the RA Pledge. This pledge is part of personal and chapter accountability. The RA motto, "We are Ambassadors for Christ," not only gives the organization its name, but also gives the boys and leaders a lifestyle goal. This motto is taken from 2 Corinthians 5:20, which describes the purpose of Royal Ambassadors. While the RA motto is found in verse 20, the other verses sum up the apostle Paul's declaration of why we need to be ambassadors for Christ.

Girls in Action (GAs) is a missions education program that helps girls in grades 1-6 learn about international and North American missions and missionaries. GAs pledge to do their best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions and participating in the work of the church.

AWANA is an international, Bible-centered children's ministry providing weekly clubs, programs, and training for students in preschool through sixth grade. Our goal is to equip churches to reach children, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

We have three Awana clubs at Cornerstone Church:
  • Cubbies for ages 3 and 4
  • Sparks for kindergarten through second grade
  • And Truth & Training for boys and girls, grade 3-6

We support and learn about missions by supporting our Adopt-A-Club in Nepal.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an outstanding way to reach into the community to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. VBS this summer is July 23-27, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
